Mission:  

To build a Prayer Angels community to advocate for mothers who feel unworthy or reject God’s mercy and forgiveness.

Mothers of the Sorrowful Rose is a prayer advocacy group dedicated to mothers grieving the loss of their children due to abortion, addiction, adoption, abduction, abandonment, altered gender, and abuse.

 

Co-Founders Mishell-rose Casazza and Nelida Montalvo were inspired to create the advocacy group when they attended a three-day Rachel’s Vineyard retreat seeking healing and forgiveness from their abortions.  At that time, Mishell-rose had already attended the retreat a year ago for her wounds, and was now participating as an aide to the members.  It was during those interactions that Mishell-rose, and the members (which included Nelida) formed a special bond that extended beyond the retreat.  The ladies held each other’s hand, provided comfort, and encouraged each other whenever and wherever they had an opportunity.  Taking notice, the founders felt it necessary to provide a safe place for women who do not have any type of support.  A place where they know they will be heard always, and with love.  

 

The initial intention of Mothers of the Sorrowful Rose was to provide support through bi-weekly online sessions where mothers can join and grieve the loss of their children in a safe environment.  However, after continuous prayers and much discernment, it was clear that the route to be taken is that of prayer.  Prayer is a simple yet powerful tool that has the capacity to travel far and wide gifting miracles and changing lives.

 

With a profound love and dedication to our Blessed Mother, the founders decided that the online support sessions should be changed to weekly online prayers.  The Holy Rosary will be the arsenal where petitions will be prayed for by asking Our Lady’s intercession to shower faith, hope, and love to all mothers affected by their loss.

How are we going to do this? 

 

Offer two weekly online prayer sessions:

  1. “A Rachel Rosary“ prayer line for the intercession of victims, those who influence, and those involved in abortion practices.

  2. Mother’s of the Sorrowful Rose seven decade rosary prayer for all mothers grieving the loss of their children due to abortion, addiction, adoption, abduction, abandonment, altered gender, and abuse.  And for those mothers who do not know how to pray or who do not believe in the power of prayer.

  3. The Founders will also visit churches, recovery facilities, and prisons to lead in prayer and/or help set-up prayer lines.
